Is it legal to track a rental car?
Yes, if the rental agreement informs the customer in writing why monitoring is used, what data is collected and how long it is kept. Use the data only for the purposes of the rental.
Can the engine be immobilised remotely?
Yes, a Teltonika tracker can block engine start via a relay. We set it up so the command works only when the car is stationary. We’ll tell you if your car supports it during the inspection.
Which is better for rentals: Navi.zone or Wialon?
For 1–30 cars Navi.zone is usually enough: mileage per rental, geofences, speed. Integration with your CRM or accounting via API is on the Business plan. Wialon — if your processes are already set up in it.
