Which is more accurate: a tank sensor or the on-board computer?
A tank sensor is more accurate — it records drains and refuels in litres. The on-board computer needs no work on the tank, but its accuracy depends on the vehicle model. For trucks we recommend a sensor; for modern machinery the computer is often enough.
Why calibrate the sensor to the tank?
Tanks come in different shapes. We fill fuel in portions and record the sensor reading. After that the system shows litres for your specific tank.
Can the sensor be tricked?
We seal the sensor and connectors. If someone disconnects power or the sensor, it stays in the history.
